In brief
Plinky is a browser-only application. Your settings, your progress and your recordings are stored only locally in your browser; we do not collect them or transmit them to a server. There are no user accounts, no advertising and no cookies. Visits are counted with a cookie-free measurement that stores nothing on your device and identifies nobody — so there is nothing here for you to consent to or switch off.
Hosting and server log files
The website is delivered as static files via Cloudflare Pages (provider: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When the page is requested, the host processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, the date and time of access and the amount of data transferred, in order to deliver the page and keep operations secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable delivery (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Any transfer to the USA relies on the provider's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Local storage in your browser
To run the app we use your browser's local storage — for example for your settings, your practice progress and saved recordings. This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and can be deleted at any time via the settings or your browser. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (providing a functional, convenient app).
Fonts
Fonts are loaded from our own server. No external services such as Google Fonts are used, so no data is transmitted to third parties in this respect.
Web analytics with Cloudflare
To measure reach we use Cloudflare Web Analytics (provider: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). It counts page views and measures loading speed without cookies, without local storage and without a fingerprint of your device; no data identifying you personally is processed, and there is no recognition across websites. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the needs-based design of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); since no information is stored on or read from your device, § 25 TDDDG requires no consent. Further information can be found in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Contacting us by email
If you write to us by email, we process the information you provide solely in order to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).

You have the following rights with regard to your personal data: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, please contact us at the address given above.
